ACTIVE INGREDIENT
The active ingredient is assessed for its effect on the target pest and its properties in relation to people, animals and the environment.
BIOCIDAL AUTHORISATION & PRODUCT CHOICE
In Türkiye, products marketed as mosquito or tick repellents are biocidal products and must hold the relevant authorisation or permit from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye.
When choosing a mosquito or tick repellent, check its biocidal authorisation details as well as the claims on the front of the pack.
CHECK THE AUTHORISATION BEFORE THE CLAIMS.A cosmetic product may have its own intended use and safety requirements.
It does not replace biocidal authorisation for a mosquito or tick repellent claim.Terms such as “natural”, “plant-based”, “organic” or “body spray” do not establish that a product is authorised as a mosquito or tick repellent.
An authorisation is more than a number: it is the outcome of scientific and official assessment.
The active ingredient is assessed for its effect on the target pest and its properties in relation to people, animals and the environment.
The product itself is assessed for efficacy against its target, stability, application and safety.
The authorisation and label define which pests the product can be used against, how to apply it and under what conditions.

FROM THE BACK TO THE INNER LABEL
Some information on Sinkov products appears inside the back label. To reach it, open the label at the upper-right corner marked “Buradan Açınız” (“Open here”).
When shopping online
Do not judge by the front of the pack alone. Check readable photographs of the back label and any peel-open inner labels. If authorisation or application information is missing, ask the seller for photographs showing those details.
